One of my favorite dives in the Los Angeles area would have to be "Ship Rock".

This rock just off Two Harbors at the north-western end of Catalina Island and provides a wealth of different diving opportunities. It is one of the few places that I can think of where I can go and do a hundred metre dive and then do my decompression in a kelp forest.
