The "John J Audubon" was the last of our dives for this Great Lakes trip.
A 370 ton two masted brig, she was struck nearly amidships by the schooner "Defiance" on a dark night, October 20, 1854. Although both vessels sank quickly within miles of each other, there was no loss of life.
One of the smaller wrecks of this trip, she's an interesting dive in 48 metres with her cargo of railway track strewn about the site.
